Capcom posted the trailer on itsCapcom-Unity blogearlier today. There's just over a minute of material, a mix of boring on screen text and more exciting snippets of gameplay. Still, it's difficult to tell what's going on here. Lots of folks with guns, indistinct, silhouetted mobs of zombies, the odd explosion and one or two close-ups. It is a"tease"in the truest sense of the word.
Fortunately, we already know a little bit about the game. Players will move around in four-person squads allied with one of three factions: Umbrella Security Servies, U.S. military SpecOps and Umbrella's out-of-control B.O.W.s, or Bio-Organic Weapons. The story is set around the events of the second and third"Resident Evil"games in a story that stands apart from the established canon. You'll be able to play as familiar characters, but any one of them can bite the dust. Or be bitten in the face, more likely.
Unlike other games in the series, the focus here is on action and gunplay. There will be pickups like healing herbs, but ammo is reported to be much less of a valued commodity. You probably won't be able to purchase unlimited ammo unlocks, but the gun-toting factions will presumably hit the ground running with full clips and plenty of bullets to spare.
